I mean, right after having done the image(s), going through the disk again and compare each disk block with the image block. And of course display an error if it doesn't match. That's exactly the same ...

I think it would me amazing if we could check that the image actually match the state of the disk / partition. Right ...

zsplit otherwise goes the safest way and saves all sectors
this is allright, but talking about the image size, isn'it possible to blank the unused blocks using the operating system, before ...

just an idea for improvement ;)

1) the "how to" documentation page just says how to backup a whole disk. It says nothing about partitions. What about logical partitions ...
